NFC Times Exclusive – MasterCard has released its first list of certified vendors for host card emulation products supporting its cloud-based payments specifications, though the list includes relatively few suppliers so far. Meanwhile, neither Visa nor MasterCard has apparently certified tokenization suppliers.
To be certified, the HCE solutions providers need to comply with cloud-based payments specifications released by the payment networks. They released their first HCE specs last year.
MasterCard divides the certifications into four parts, one on the device side for HCE mobile application software, and three on the server side, for platforms that provision payment credentials and manage keys and transactions.
