According to Apple Pay chief Jennifer Bailey, the tech giant launched Apple Pay to make its devices more useful by offering another set of everyday services, such as payments and transit ticketing.
In short, though she didn’t say it in so many words, Apple launched Apple Pay to sell more devices, which is similar to the business model of other device makers launching “OEM Pay” services.
