MasterCard Worldwide and U.S.-based mobile-wallet software supplier C-SAM today announced a partnership and investment by MasterCard, expanding on their earlier working relationship.
The parties declined to say how much MasterCard had invested in the Chicago-based vendor, which has become perhaps the most established of the new crop of mobile-wallet platform providers.
The companies had announced in May they were working together on a white-label wallet targeted at banks or other service providers in Asia-Pacific. The wallet would integrate with MasterCard’s previously announced PayPass Wallet Services wallet and platform.
