Successor to Galaxy S on Its Way
"Something big is coming." So says–or so hopes–Samsung Electronics. (Korea JoongAng Daily)
The company announced early last month that it would unveil the successor to the Galaxy S, its hit smartphone, at the Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest exhibition for the mobile industry, which will be held Feb. 14 to 17 in Barcelona, Spain.
Market insiders say the phone will have a 4.3-inch Super Amoled (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) Plus screen, as opposed to Galaxy S’s 4-inch Super Amoled screen. It will also feature NFC (near field communication) technology, which allows users to make payments with the phone. Galaxy S doesn’t have that technology.
