MasterCard Worldwide has announced plans for a contactless-mobile payment trial in Singapore using SIM cards connected to flexible antennas.
The trial would involve bank payment and possibly transit fare collection later, although there is no date yet set for the launch.
The pilot is to target cardholders of the FEVO MasterCard-branded card introduced last year in Singapore, which combines a conventional prepaid bank application with the ez-link contactless transit purse that can also be used for purchases at the point-of-sale.
