NFC Times Exclusive: France-based Gemalto today reported higher revenue in the third quarter for its mobile-payments platforms as well as increased shipments of NFC SIMs and dual-interface banking cards.
The vendor, which released only its revenue figures for the quarter today, did not break out the sales specifically for the mobile-payments and TSM services or for the NFC SIM and contactless EMV card business.
But the third quarter sales figures are expected to include revenue for Gemalto’s contracts with both the Isis joint venture and MCX merchant group in the U.S., as well as such Asian projects as Octopus mobile transit ticketing in Hong Kong and contactless EMV cards shipped to China.
