The employee trial is among the first held anywhere offering users the option to download either a Visa or MasterCard contactless credit or debit card onto the same NFC phone. They can manage access to their accounts, including passwords, through a link to a Santander mobile banking application. Users will be able to pay for purchases at a limited number of terminals in Santander’s headquarters and a nearby town, along with Visa payWave and MasterCard PayPass terminals worldwide.

NFC Times Take: 

A small trial with employees, including some execs, but it does have the distinction of supporting both MasterCard PayPass and Visa payWave, which is a rarity for NFC mobile-payment projects.
